Wood Windows, Transoms and Door Restoration at Dumbarton Oaks

The wood windows , transoms and French doors in the orangery at Dumbarton Oaks required extensive refurbishment and special care was required so as not to damage the existing interior vines, some of which were dated back to the time of the Lincoln Presidency. In such conditions, it will be necessary to refurbish  the wood windows every 25 or 30 years. With  care, they will last the life of the building.
